Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District (MTD)
Note: You can purchase MTD 10-Ride Bus passes by mail using a form linked from this page on MTD's website: http://www.sbmtd.gov/fares-and-passes/index.html.
Visitors to Santa Barbara enjoy riding up and down State Street and along the waterfront in a small, open-air, quiet, electric shuttle (pictured on right). The fare is only 50 cents. Shuttles run until 6 PM year-round, and until 9 PM on Fridays and Saturdays from April through October (daylight savings times). Check the schedule for all the details.
