Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District
Visitors to Santa Barbara enjoy riding up and down State Street and along the waterfront in a small, open-air, quiet, electric shuttle (pictured above). The fare is only 50 cents. Shuttles run until 6 PM year-round, and until 9 PM on Fridays and Saturdays from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Check the schedule for all the details.
You can also take any one of MTD’s larger buses all around Santa Barbara. Visit SBMTD.gov for all the schedules and information. Note: You can purchase MTD 10-Ride Bus passes by mail using a form linked from this page on MTD’s website: www.sbmtd.gov/fares-and-passes/index.html.
