Here's how it works:
Three day advance reservations are required. You must register on this page to obtain the link to Amtrak's site and purchase your tickets. Have your information for ticket purchase ready before you complete registration on that page (view train schedules and general information at Amtrak.com). You may not use the discount for purchase on board the train, or for purchase of a gift certificate.
This offer is good for travel between January 5 2010 and December 16, 2010 on the Pacific Surfliner or San Joaquin (and associated thruway buses) to/from all nine Amtrak stations in Santa Barbara County: Santa Barbara, Goleta, Carpinteria, Solvang, Buellton, Lompoc, Surf, Guadalupe and Santa Maria.
Discount is NOT available for travel in the holiday periods listed here: 12Feb10, 15Feb10, 02Apr10, 04-05Apr10, 23-24Nov10, and 27-29Nov10.
Offer is valid for 20 percent off of the best available regular adult fare. The offer can't be combined with any other discounts. Up to 2 children ages 2-15 may accompany each adult at half of the regular (full, not discounted) adult fare. Offer is valid for business class travel upon full payment of applicable accommodation charges. Once travel has begun, no changes to the itinerary are permitted, fares, routes and schedules are subject to change without notice, other restrictions may apply.

This offer is valid for travel on the Pacific Surfliner, San Joaquin and associated Thruways, except not valid on the 7000-8999 series Thruways. This offer is valid for travel to/from the following Santa Barbara county stations only: Carpinteria, Santa Barbara, Goleta, Guadalupe, Lompoc, Surf, Solvang, Santa Maria and Buellton. Reservations are required a minimum of three (3) days prior to travel. Seating is limited; seats may not be available on all trains at all time. This offer is valid for coach seats.
